CHECK THIS: SNEAK PEEK AT EASTON'S NEW LAX HELMET

Calling All Laxers:

You gotta check out Easton's New Raptor Helmet!!

Whoa...not so fast!...The official unveiling will be April 3rd at the Big City Classic.

But until then, Easton is releasing 6 photos to give you sneak peek at the freshest lid on the field.   Here's #1

Personally, I've seen the helmet...and I think it's gonna change the game.
Just sayin....

CHECK THIS: LARRY ROSA LANDS WHEATIES BOX

This is beyond cool!!

Awesome photog and good friend to Verdict Photography, Larry Rosa just landed his photo on the newest Wheaties box!

Featuring 2010 Ironman Champion Chris McCormack, it's the first Wheaties box to feature a triathlete.

Big Congrats to Larry!!!!!

VERDICT WORK: MCLA MAGAZINE SHOOT

Verdict Photography is proud to announce its partnership with MCLA Magazine.

You gotta dig on this dope cover shot and a two page spread found in this month's MCLA magazine featuring St. Mary's Lacrosse Team.

Big ups to Agent Ogden for the sweet post production work.

Check down a few posts for a sweet video from the shoot!

VERDICT NEWS: MCLA MAG SHOOT W/ ST. MARYS COLLEGE

Check out this dope behind the scenes video from a recent Verdict cover shoot for MCLA magazine. We visited St. Mary's College lacrosse team and hung with head coach Colin Knightly.

I can't show you guys the pics yet, but I'll give you a few hints: rock n roll, a limousine, and beautiful babes.

The cover shot is beyond rad so be sure to check back in a bit.

Big thanks to Agent Ogden for putting the vid together.

VERDICT WORK: SOCIETY SKATEBOARD SHOOT

Check out this photo from this weekend's skateboard video shoot!

Shot and produced by Verdict Crew member Gani Pinero, this beauty is foreshadowing a gnarly video featuring the Society Skate Crew.

Stay Tuned.

VERDICT NEWS: CAL LACROSSE UPDATE

I recently shot photos for the February issue of US Lacrosse Magazine which accompanied a story about the Cal Berkeley Women's Lacrosse Team losing funding and subsequently, their team.

While I'm not taking any credit, a re-vote took place last week after the story and photo ran in the magazine...and some how, some way, Cal was able to secure funding and keep their women's lacrosse team alive.

Like I said,...i'm not taking credit. But I'd like to think my photos had something, anything to do with the change of heart.

Bravo, ladies.

VERDICT WORK: COLLAB W/ NICOLE MERTZ

The Verdict Crew recently teamed up with Nicole Mertz, a Minnesota-based graphic designer.  We dig on her work and what she did with these pics. More to come no doubt.

CHECK THIS: EASTON LACROSSE & CASEY POWELL

Check out this killer video from Easton Lacrosse. Shot in Brooklyn on a gi-normous sound stage, it shows Casey Powell rippin' it slo-mo style. Be on the lookout for Easton to blow up as they officially launch their product on Feb. 15th

Check these still images from the shoot a la Verdict Photography.

Enjoy.

VISUAL STIMULI: STUNNING NIKE SOCCER SPOT

Check out this video for Nike soccer...waay rad. I guess it uses 6 cameras on a 360 degree spherical rig to accomplish the aesthetic.

The video was directed by Scott Lyon.

CHECK THIS ARTIST: DIVER & AGUILAR

Check out Diver&Aguilar's work for soccer club FC Barcelona. These guys use simple, straightforward, and powerful imagery to get the point across.

Me gusta.

CHECK THIS ARTIST: NICK RUDNICKI

Check out the work of Halifax-based Nick Rudnicki. Purdy cool...

VERDICT WORK: EASTON BASEBALL

Here are a few samples from a recent shoot for Easton Baseball. Look for these and other cool pics on the Easton Baseball site.

CHECK THIS ARTIST: LORENZO VITTURI

Ok...so in the world of commercial sports photography there is cool, and then there is Lorenzo Vitturi. The end.

CHECK THIS ARTIST: JOB HALL

Job Hall. This guy's work is rad. His name is Job Hall also.

CHECK THIS: EASTON LACROSSE DOING BIG THINGS

This post is for all you lacrosse junkies out there. I have been doing some work recently with the great people over at Easton Lacrosse. They are a new name in the lax game, but are doing great stuff...and have big names like Casey Powell, Brett Queener, and Michael Evans repping their stuff. Check this stuff out now so you can be the one to drop the hot knowledge on your friends.

VERDICT WORK: SURFER CHICK

This shot is actually a Verdict throwback, but a bad-ass shot none the less. Photographed on San Fran's Ocean Beach, my model was more than game to get her toes wet. Shot with a large octobox (left) and on camera fill (right) shows that simplicity still looks good.

VERDICT WORK: TEAM USA PROMO

I was in 'beautiful' New Jersey this past weekend shooting for the US National Indoor Lacrosse Team. Somewhere in the middle of all the action I was able to pull two of the game's brightest stars (L-Paul Rabil, R-Jon Christmas) for a quick headshot and put together this promo. As the tryout period for the players continues, we all are wondering what faces will make up the 2011 roster. Good luck to all the guys!

VERDICT WORK: J. SERRA LACROSSE

After posting one of my photos for a local lacrosse team I received a bunch of emails inquiring about the shoot. So here's a few more.

VERDICT WORK: YOUTH ATHLETE PROFILE

This quick little comp was put together for an Oakland based gymnastic champion. We want to bring our commercial aesthetic to the athletic stars of tomorrow. Contact the studio to get your children on our 'A-List.'

VERDICT WORK: ALL IN THE FAMILY

My cousins are a crazy bunch. Recently when I was back on the East Coast, I caught up with some of my blood to capture what they do to pay the bills. Love these guys!
