When we break down the word photography what we get is its literal translation, which is 'painting with light'...and when it comes to light, you can pretty much think of author/lighting guru Ross Lowell as Michelangelo.
This book, which is out of print but not hard to find, is pretty much your bible in terms of how to light your subjects. Covering all aspects of lighting, this book is a must for the beginner and great reference for the seasoned pro.
You can have high expectations, after all, its author also invented gaffers tape. No joke.
