Ok, so yesterday Canon released two new cameras (shown above) and while these are listed as 'consumer cameras' they have some killer features AND their release has all us pros licking our lips as we expect the (probably) groundbreaking Canon 5D mkIII to hit the streets sometime this spring.

I heard March-ish....anyone wanna bet?

BUY THIS: 'CAPTAIN STUBLING'

Gotta check out  another DSLR rig by Redrock Micro. Aptly named 'Captain Stubling', this little guy is king of his domain. One of their smaller rigs, this one has big time applications.

Lo-Fi: Used on its own, Cappy can get you into really tight spaces, offers smooth capture (we recommend tossing the camera strap around your neck as a 3rd point of contact) and multi angle shooting.

Hi-Fi: With a few add-ons, El Capitan can be super versatile. We recommend the following:

- 5 inch display. This requires another attachment. 7 inch monitor is too big.

- Shotgun Cardioid Mic - Attached to the front of Cappy to improve sound capture.

-Redrock Micro's 'Micro Brace' as 3rd point of contact.

- Really Right Stuff 'Quick Release Clamp' - with the correct mounting accessories you can attach Cappy to your tripod for an easy switch-a-roo from heldheld.

These set-ups don't run cheap, but for a little investment you can do a lot.
